Turnkey in-store design, fittings and project management company Concourse Display Management has completed a wide-ranging number of new travel retail installation projects, according to co-owners and directors, Danica Wishkovich and Robert Penn.
These latest activations add to a total of more than 300 (and counting) to date at worldwide travel retail and duty free locations, with CDM’s list of brand clients, airports, retailers (at airports, border shops and ferries)reading like a who’s who of the travel retail industry.
One of the company’s latest projects involves Bailey’s Personalisation campaign at Paris Orly Airport on behalf of Diageo, as Danica Wishkovich explained: “Starting in Paris and coming to selected airports throughout the Christmas season, Baileys will be offering shoppers a great gift for friends and loved ones: a personalised bottle of Baileys Original.
This promotion is running through to the Christmas period at Paris Orly Airport, where customers can instantly personalise their purchases as gifts.
“At the bar, an interactive custom app running on specially mounted iPads lets shoppers enter their giftee’s name, preview and print a custom bottle label.
“From now through December, this campaign of month-long promos will roll out to more airports across Europe, with CDM responsible for creative design as well as oversight of production and installation.”
Wishkovich added that this is ‘a nice example’ of a coordinated multi-airport seasonal campaign and how ‘same spaces’ can be effectively rebranded and transformed. She added that ‘CDM’s commitment to ensuring deliverables precisely match designs.”
LACOSTE AT BANGKOK AND PHUKET
In addition, the company has also recently completed two projects for Lacoste in Thailand at Kingpower International Group’s Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Phuket airports.
The Bangkok Airport project was completed in September and was handed over to Lacoste ‘on schedule’, at 06.00am on 20 September, according to Wishkovich.
The new premium Lacoste store with Kingpower Group International at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport was rebuilt and fitted out in a few weeks, according to CDM.
THREE AND A HALF WEEK TRANSFORMATION
She said: “The façade of precisely-spaced oak timber laths, dark oak furniture and muted lighting are among the many details that distinguish this retail space as one of Lacoste’s ‘Premium’ stores.
Danica Wishkovich, co-owner and Director at CDM.
“In just three and a half weeks from start to finish, CDM was responsible for the complete rebuild and fit-out in time for the planned opening of Lacoste’s latest store for Kingpower in Asia.
“From demolishing the previous shop to M&E (mechanical and electrical systems) drawings, certificates and approvals to wiring, HVAC works and ducting, to the build of partition walls, ceilings and floors to installation of all the dark oak furniture and fixtures.”
STRICT KPIG BUILD GUIDELINES…
Earlier in the year CDM also signed off Lacoste’s new premium store at Phuket International Airport last July, which Wishkovich said is ‘right in step with the new terminal opening’.
CDM utilised Kingpower International Group’s ‘floating wall bay system’ to create the new shop at Phuket International Airport.
She added: “Kingpower lined up many of the world’s most famous brands for their new terminal, working closely with brands in imposing strict guidelines to ensure the highest quality shopping experience.
“Utilising an innovative design of ‘floating’ wall bays spearheaded by Kingpower, the new terminal’s shopping zone makes it easier for passengers to navigate within the store.”
